General Benefits

  1. Each qualifying member shall receive:
    • A 100% of each members due contribution in the event of a member’s death less the agreed administrative fees as stated under article 6.3.
  2. During the probation period, no active member shall get any benefits. If a tragedy befalls a member before the probation period is over, individual GBA members shall be requested to support at will.
  3. Only active members can receive full benefits after the 90 days probation period effective 12:01 am on the 91st day
  4. If by 12:01 am  of the 91st day,  a member reports a claim but his/her record shows that he/she has not yet  paid in full the membership fee, that member’s claim WILL NOT qualify for ANY benefits. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  5. If a member reports a claim and is not current in his/her books of account (has an outstanding balance from previous claim/s), that claim WILL NOT qualify for ANY benefits. NO EXCEPTIONS
  6. Members who have defaulted their accounts will automatically cease to be members after the due dates. No exceptions.  Re-admission shall be determined during the next registration cycle in (August) each year. The re-admitted member will be required to pay a fine of $200 to be kept in the kitty for administrative purposes. Readmissions will be in very extreme situations e.g.  (hospital admission).
